In an act of scientific weirdness, a Canadian mother has decided to freeze her own eggs for use by her seven-year-old daughter who is likely to become infertile.

Flavie Boivin, seven, suffers from Turner’s Syndrome, a chromosomal condition that causes impaired growth and early menopause. Her mom Melanie wants to ensure that she’ll be given the gift of grandchildren…even if they’re technically her own seed, spawned far in the fuuuuture.
